At work today, I got to quick sneak over to see sweet Mya again shortly before they left the hospital to bring her home. Newborns are amazing!

"Mommy Doctor" practicing a pediatric exam in preparation for a huge test the next day. We had so much fun! By the way, I am wearing shorts under that lab coat, it was 9am and I rarely shower until later in the day on days I'm home, and nurse practitioners are not doctors. :)

Back to reality = catching up on schoolwork. After a bit of a freak-out, I went for a run and came back to an iced mocha and this from my dear husband. In the center is a note that I've had stuck to the side of our computer for a number of weeks, inspiring me for a fun summer next year when I'm done with school. Reuben moved it and, well, you can see. :)

Nora turned one today! At breakfast in Wisconsin before heading home, everyone sang to her and she got a little pecan roll. :) Happy birthday, sweet girl!

Reuben made up a new game that we dubbed "Passagories." By the end of the day, almost everyone had joined in on the fun. It was a great time laughing together.

What a blessing to have happy, healthy grandparents who have honored their commitment to each other for 60 years! This weekend was a great time celebrating them and connecting with family.
Alena and her (third?) cousin Violet had a lot of fun together, which was such a joy to watch too!
